The Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl Board of Governors is pleased to introduce
Jim Corkum as their 2025 New Hampshire Head Coach.

Coach Corkum comes to the Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl from Concord High School.

Coach Corkum will lead his team of 36 of New Hampshire’s best senior players into the
72nd Annual Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl Game.

Coach Corkum recently completed his 4th season as Head Coach for the Concord Crimson Tide.  He  graduated from Concord High School in 2003 and went on to attend Merrimack College in Andover, MA, where he played four years of collegiate football.  He graduated from Merrimack in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in History.  Coach Corkum began teaching in the Concord School District in 2009 as a middle school Social Studies and Language Arts teacher, while also earning a Masters in Education.  In addition to teaching, Jim served as an Assistant Football Coach at CHS to Eric Brown for 6 seasons.  In 2014, he transitioned out of the classroom into an Administrative role serving as an Assistant Principal at a middle school for two years before being named an Assistant  Principal at Concord High School in 2016, while also completing his Certificate in Advanced Graduate Studies through Plymouth State University.

Coach Corkum states, "The NH-VT Shrine Game is an event that has always been very special to me.  I was selected to play in the 50th game in 2003 under Coach Ken Sciacca (37-7 victory over Vermont), and the experience I took away as a player made a significant impact on me."  Additionally, he says, "Being able to see first-hand the positive influence the Shriners have on the lives of children and parents who are facing their hardest days was inspiring and humbling, and it was a privilege to be associated with that cause."

Coach Corkum says he is beyond excited to be able to contribute to the Shrine cause and the game once again, and hopes to be able to form a competitive team that can come out with a NH win.  Jim adds, "The Shrine game is a reminder that there are things bigger in this life than football."  His goal is for both teams to soak in the entire Shrine experience, raise as much money as possible, and create friendships that will continue long after the game.  Jim further says, "He feels blessed to be afforded this opportunity and can't wait to get started."

Good luck Coach Corkum!

I am humbled to be part of such a prestigious game that contributes so much for an amazing cause.  I live in Meredith, NH with my wife Bronwen, son Brogan, (member of NH Shrine team 2025) and my son Kiernan.  I am entering my third season as Head Coach of the Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough varsity football team.

Coaching has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember.  I have had the privilege of coaching at Souhegan HIgh School, Kingswood High School, and now the ILMA program.  Being part of such a game and being able to coach amazing players from all over the State will be a rewarding experience.   I want to thank Coach Corkum for asking me to join his staff for this game.

Being a school Principal for over 20 years has been rewarding, and I understand the importance of teamwork, hard work, and perseverance.   The football experience provides all of that for our recent graduates that have been selected to play for the NH shrine team.   Those lessons will be valuable as our players move on to the next chapter of their lives.  Best of luck to all players involved and thank you to the Shriners.

He graduated from Mascoma in 2013 and went on to join the Army. After his military career he attended Plymouth State University in Plymouth, NH, where he graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Social Studies Education and began as an assistant coach at Mascoma Football. Coach Daley took over as head coach of the Royals in 2021 and began teaching full time at Mascoma in 2022. He is currently working towards a Masters in Athletic Administration and Coaching through Liberty University in Lynchburg VA. Coach Daley shared, “I'm extremely excited to contribute to the NH-VT Shrine Game any way I can, I missed my opportunity to participate as an athlete in 2013 under Coach Ray Kershaw because of my military service, being able to help coach the team feels like I get a second chance.” He also shared, “High School sports, football in particular, is about community, and being able to help our extended community, support those in need, is what sports at this level is all about.”
